While you eagerly await the launch of the second installment of Candy Crush Saga, King have released their popular Facebook game Pyramid Solitaire Saga on iOS and Android devices, to help you pass the time. The game has received rave reviews from Facebook users and is now sitting at a star rating of 4.4 in the Google Play Store, as it creeps its way to nearly half a million downloads.
So, how is this game different to Kings other mobile titles? Well, firstly, as with any King game you can expect to be tempted by in-app purchases that will help you to complete the various stages. The entire style of gameplay, however, is completely different to any mobile game King has previously released, with Pyramid Solitaire Saga being the “first ever card-based cross-platform game” from the developer. The game sees players selecting on-screen cards that are either one number higher or lower than the highlighted playing card from their deck. This fun and addictive game puts an interesting new twist on the traditional solitaire game you’ve played on your desktop computer – a strategy that is sure to peak the interests of classic solitaire lovers and those who have never even heard of the game before.
As you would guess from the title, Pyramid Solitaire Saga doesn’t bring anything new to the table as far as theming goes, with a far from original Ancient Egypt backdrop – but if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right? Continuing on what we now expect from this top rated developer, gameplay is smooth with no lagging experienced, while the graphics and colours are crisp and bright.
Pyramid Solitaire Saga is now available as a freemium download in both the iTunes and Google Play App Stores.
