ZeptoLab’s infamous Cut the Rope is undoubtedly one of the most popular mobile games of this generation. While the quality of graphics and puzzles is a major reason for why people continue to download this game, we must admit that the adorable main character Om Nom is also a big draw card for many players. Mobile gamers all around the world fell in love with Om Nom, as they ventured with him through hundreds of levels of challenging puzzles, and now they have the chance to care for their very own Om Nom in a pet simulation game, appropriately titled “My Om Nom”.
Created by ZeptoLab and Dynamic Pixels, My Om Nom sees players caring for their adorable pet in every way, from petting and playing with him or her, to making sure they brush their teeth each night. And yes, that’s right, I did say him or her – for the first time players will have the choice of caring for Om Nom or his female counterpart Om Nelle.
My Om Nom is currently only available in the iTunes App Store and will cost you $4.99 to download. While the price may seem a little steep at first, there are no hidden costs once gameplay begins, with monetisation generated purely from the P2P feature, eliminating all ads and in-app purchases.
“Cut the Rope and Cut the Rope 2 were obviously huge successes for us,” said Misha Lyalin, CEO of ZeptoLab. “It would have been easy to relax this year, but that would have been a disservice to our fans. We are always talking and listening to our community, and the message has been clear: more Om Nom and more fun.”
We all had a Tamagotchi growing up and sometimes we crave the simple days of nurturing for that little computerized pet, so I’m sure My Om Nom will be a great success, as it launches onto iOS devices everywhere.
