This isn’t breaking news for all mobile gamers, but the latest update from Activision is. While we’ve seen collaborations in the past that allow players to manipulate and modify their clans via mobile devices, and even a few previous attempts to recreate Zombies and the traditional FPS on portable devices, this is the first F2P Call of Duty game to hit the shelves (that isn’t all about clan wars) – and it’s probably not what you’d expect.
Diving down the rabbit hole of the ever-popular combat strategy game category in the app stores, Call of Duty®: Heroes is now available to both iOS and Android users, with initial reviews showing that Clash of Clans may finally have some competition in topping the charts. While with all new games you can expect a few negative reviews, the latest game from Activision is sitting pretty with a 4.3 star ranking from Google Play Store users.
Unlike anything we’ve seen before from this developer on mobile, players have the opportunity to unleash their power by commanding an army of their own and launching devastating drone attacks on their enemies. While there have been a few minor issues with the latest update for the game, I’m sure we’ll see a new version released in no time, which is sure to keep the review standards high across both iOS and Android. As a Call of Duty fan from way back, what I personally love about Call of Duty®: Heroes is the incorporation of some familiar aspects seen on the original console version – including the appearance of characters from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Players have the opportunity to select their favourite hero from the franchise and focus on levelling up their abilities, each offering their own unique kill streaks.
This time, the Juggernauts are on your side, so check out the latest combat strategy game to get your COD fix on the go.
