New to the app stores is BuzzFeed’s latest app, BuzzFeed News for iOS. The popular online news media company has combined major news from around the world with Buzzfeeds stories. The app has a focus on quick news consumption, allowing users to keep up to date on a scrollable feed with current stories selected by BuzzFeed’s editors.
As users scroll down, they are offered with more stories. It begins with a bulleted list of tops stories. On top of the headlines, the app provides a short summary of the story, with some even including a background insight. This is to help users understand the importance or context of each story. Another feature of the app is that when the user’s scrolldown they are also auto loaded with GIFs and newsworthy tweets.
Users can share each story via Facebook, twitter, text or email and can tap to head to BuzzFeed, or the appropriate news source to read each article.
Additionally, can specifically select to have the app customised to send notifications allowing them to see for all worldwide news, breaking news, business or geo targeting news and more.
Currently the app is available or download on iTunes’ App Store. BuzzFeed has plans for the app to soon become available for Google Play users in the near future.
