New to the app stores is the music messaging app MSTY (My Song To You) that has been launched worldwide. The app offers a new way of communication with friends by combining text and photos with music.
The app adds hundreds of MSTY-curated 30-second song clips to its collection of thousands on a weekly basis. The songs can be viewed in playlists based around specific genres, moods and more.
After choosing a song, users are able to attach a photo from the apps library, importing a picture from the camera roll or taking one from within the app. The images within the app are also all assorted by theme. Users are are then able to complete the message by adding a comment or short phrase and placing it somewhere onto the image.
Users are able to send additional picture messages and music once they have started a conversation within MSTY. They can also be redirected to the app store (from iOS devices) to view the full song after they listen to clip of it within the message.
Grant Bovey, the founder and CEO of MSTY said in a recent statement “Sometimes simple words and images won’t cut it—MSTY allows you to add that deeper level of emotion through the power of music. MSTY is a fun and exciting new way to message, whether you’re happy, sad, celebrating, flirting or just chatting with friends, MSTY contains the perfect song to suit any mood.”
MSTY is available for a free download from the Google Play store and iTunes App Store.
