Newly launched to the app stores is the Picpal social selfie collage app by MyndBee. The objective of the app is to allow users to create various selfie collages with their contacts, no matter what their location.
Firstly, a user will connect with a Facebook account. They can then invite friends through text message or Facebook. Following the acceptance of download, the user can invite them to their collage projects. The original user will take a selfie and the new user will have one day to send back one of their own.
We all know it takes multiple selfies to be satisfied with the ideal one, so users are able to take many until they are happy with it. The pictures can be edited with filters, cropped and had other visual enhancements applied. Users are able to apply short text phrases to their selfies and also draw on them.
The collages then show up on the apps home feed and users can view their friend’s contributions as they add pictures. A similar feature to Facebook is that users can post comments or likes on the collage. They can then share the finished product on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
Mahesh Rajogopalan, the co-funder of Picpal said in a recent statement “With Picpal, we’ve created an authentic experience, connecting friends and families more intimately in real-time, no matter where they are.”
Picpal is available for a free download from Google Play and iTunes App Store.
