Newly launched to the App Stores and Web is YouTube Gaming by Google. The objective of the platform is for it to be a destination for gaming content including live streams from a database of over 25000 games.
With the app, each game has its own hub or page within the offer, providing access to current live streams, games description, popular related videos, video reviews, let’s plays and many more. From the YouTube Gaming screen users can access these hubs which also shows lists of popular and currently trending titles.
Users are able to chat with others in real time through live streams and also watch videos. There is a tab for viewing other suggested videos and each video and live stream displays their details and descriptions. When a user has subscribed and started a live stream they will receive a notification. On the home screen there are two addition tables available; ‘channels’ and ‘feed’. The Channels tab offers the capability to browse these uploaders or a list of featured channels and the Feed tab offers videos from their choice of channels. Much like games, the channels receive their own hub in YouTube Gaming, containing playlists, channel’s description, uploads and many more.
YouTube Gaming rolls is available for a free download in the US and UK on iOS and Android, as well as the Web.
