Just recently announced by ModiFace is that the Shift photo editing app has now been released. The app is designed to transform photos with various effects and modern overlays.
Users can either take new photos, or upload images from their camera roll. Using a variety of layers the images can be tampered with and transformed. The layers will duplicate or cut different parts of the image to match certain patterns. To change the appearance of the image, you are able to drag your finger on the screen causing the ‘cut’ portions of the image to move.
On top of adding a layer, users are also able to change the contrast, brightness, colour, details and also crop the images. Shift allows users to also share the photo via social media, text or email once the user is finished editing. They can also save it to their camera roll.
Parham Aarabi, the CEO and Founder of ModiFace said in a recent statement “ While ModiFace has focused on developing apps for the beauty industry in the past, we looked to take the photo-editing technology we’ve perfected to give users an app that makes it easy to create visually striking graphics with any image.”
He continued “My team and I are excited to see how developers are able to learn from Shift and use these ideas in their own applications.”
Shift is available for a free download from the iTunes App Store.
