Back in the late 90s a generation of young gamers fell in love with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and now those same gamers can get ready for a new installment to the series, as Activision releases the exciting news that they’ll be bringing “Tony Hawk’s Shred Session” to both iOS and Android devices. The original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skate was developed and produced by Neversoft and Activision and was the beginning of something great for console gaming, as players worldwide fell in love with the game that would soon become a popular series.
As with the original Tony Hawk’s series, players will explore the neighborhood, busting tricks just about anywhere they can to achieve big bonuses. This latest installment in the series has been developed specifically for smart phone devices, meaning the gameplay style and maneuvering of controls will vary slightly to the older gamers, but will be optimized for players on the move. We all know that mobile gamers love a simple, casual game and the developers have provided this with “Tony Hawk’s Shred Session”, saying that the game will require just the swipe of a finger to play.

The great thing about this mobile version of the game is that Activision has stayed true to the original series, offering players two modes in which to play – survival mode (which requires big scores to continue playing) and the shred sessions (which offers players the chance to complete classic Tony Hawk’s objectives through a number of iconic cities around the globe).
Tony Hawk is enthusiastic about what the game means for the new generation, saying “I‘m stoked that Activision shares my vision for an original skateboarding game on mobile. It’s exciting to evolve with new technologies, and Shred Session is a whole new direction.”
