While this game doesn’t push any new boundaries or delve into unknown territory, it is a 3-match puzzle game and it does it incredibly well. Travelling through the various levels of the castle, gamers adopt the role of an adorable little character that is equipped with a toy squeaky hammer, racing to free the trapped gingerbread men from the evil monsters that lurk around every corner! Like many of the 3-match puzzle games available on iOS and Android devices, the concept of Monster Busters is simply, yet highly addictive – and the cute characters that help you along the way are just an added bonus..
What I really like about this game is that you are constantly challenged, but are rewarded for your consistency in playing. For the first week after download, every day that you return to play the game you will receive a coin bonus. While the developer has implemented the monetisation tool of in-app purchases of more gold coins, you also have the option to refill your lives by using the coins you have collected. Unlike many of the other puzzle games, you often have enough game coins to use without having to reach into your own pocket.
Monster Busters also provides a range of different game play styles, which is a bonus for variety and people with short attention spans (like me!). During some levels your goal will be to bring all the trapped gingerbread men to the bottom of the screen, whilst in other levels you will have to break ice blocks to free them and so on.
This free to play puzzle game is available on both iOS and Android devices and is well worth a look if you love a challenging game, with an easy to grasp concept that is great for players on the move!
