It’s been confirmed that the much awaited sequel to the infamously popular mobile title Blood Brothers will hit the app stores in 2015. While there’s more than just a few overrated RPG’s crowding both the iTunes and Google Play app stores, Blood Brothers restored our faith in the fact that mobile titles really can contend with the entire gaming community, given the right developer. Android fans showed their appreciation for the original game by keeping it ranking in a top 10 position for an impressive seven months in the Google Play Store Top Lists.
Mobile gamers will begin their journey in Blood Brothers 2 in the familiar lands of Arnashia, one hundred years after the time of the original title. What mobile developer DeNA has managed to do exceeding well is to create a captivating story line that entices the user to continue playing – an area where RPG’s are constantly lacking on mobile. The company has described Blood Brothers 2 as a “tale of loyalty, betrayal, ambition and revenge.”
Players who enjoyed the first installment of what is now turning into an epic series will be pleased to hear that the mechanics behind the infamous battles will remain the same, while DeNA plan to create even more compelling content by adding new art, which is sure to push Blood Brothers 2 to the next level of mobile gaming.
“Having worked on the original, we know what fans liked most about the game,” Kaz Kondo, head of DeNA Studios West in San Francisco, said in a statement. “We want to deliver again the fast-paced RPG battles and iconic characters fans enjoyed, but we’re also introducing new art style and spellbinding adventure that will be fun and fresh for everyone.”
If the original Blood Brothers is anything to go by, this will definitely be a title to watch in 2015, when it launches across both iOS and Android devices.
