Gamevil has really made a name for themselves over the past 12 months, bringing us the likes of Zenonia, Cartoon Wars, Dark Avenger and Air Penguin, just to name a few. At a recent Game Developer’s Conference, however, Gamevil announced that this was just the beginning of what will no doubt be an onslaught of addictive role playing games (or RPG’s) in 2014. With an excess of 350 million downloads across there already successful brand of games, according to our expert friends at Inside Mobile Apps, the five new titles announced at the conference consist of a whopping 4 action packed RPG’s – so when it comes to Gamevil in 2014, be sure to brace yourself for the ride.
With a four and a half star rating in the Google Play Store, it’s pretty easy to see that Android users are lovers of Zenonia. In the coming months, gamers can expect to see Zenonia Online launched into the App Stores, a smart move for a game with an already successful following. Zenonia Online is sure to be one hell of an action packed RPG (as promised by Gamevil) with real time player vs. player battles to take the screen.
For lovers of puzzle games, RPG’s and action arcade games, Dungeon Link really does have it all. This new title from Gamevil involves players in completing various puzzle modes, where connecting certain blocks will help to defeat the enemy. While this next game has previously made its way into the Korean market, Dragon Blaze is scheduled to hit the world wide scene in 2014, as a story-motivated RPG that really packs a punch – already reaching number 1 and number 4 placing’s on the iTunes and Google Play charts in Korea.
Brining in the social aspect of gaming, which we all know users can’t get enough of these days, is Epic Heroes. Yet another RPG from the Korean developer, Epic Heroes is an MMORPG that allows users to experience real time battles and join forces in cooperative play with up to four players. The final title to be released at the Game Developer’s Conference is a little different from their other creations, with Mark of the Dragon showing more of a tower-defence, strategy side to Gamevil’s productions. While players are offered the creativity and freedom to create their own cities and put the necessary defences into place, the action still rings true for the developer, when players can summon their dragons to defend their honour.
While I must admit I’m a bit of a sucker for action packed RPG’s, I can hardly wait to check out these new launch titles from Gamevil – if the hype plays out, the graphics and game play style of these creations will truly raise the bar for other developers around the world.
