Following rave reviews from the first edition of the popular reality television show transformed into a mobile game, Activision has announced the release of Wipeout 2! Not only will the newest app be available for both Android and iOS users, but will also be available to download from the Amazon App Store, for Kindle Fire devices. You have to admit that there’s something really captivating about watching people struggle through a slippery obstacle course – just waiting for them to tumble so that the crowd can go wild! Well, that’s what made the television series so popular over the years and the enticement of the mobile game is no different.

In Wipeout 2, however, you get to play along as your own character and challenge your skills at the legendary obstacle course! This latest release puts a new spin on the usual action platform game, offering swipe controls, in order for your jumps and slides to be perfectly timed – after all, the aim of the game is to stay on the course and stay out of that dreaded pool of water below.
The original Wipeout game was released onto the market way back in 2012, so the sequel has been a long time coming. This seems to be a smart move from Activision, as they have now created a whole new target audience of those who have never played the first edition, offering something new to the market. Wipeout 2, however, will still attract players who enjoyed the original game and even those of us who are simply fans of the hit TV series – well played, Activision. Well played.
