After the immense success Electronic Arts (EA) achieved from the launch of FIFA 14, it was only a matter of time before we saw the new FIFA 15 launched onto mobile devices. This year, however, EA have released two different styles of mobile games relating to the console legend. This season players have the choice of downloading either the EA SPORTS™ FIFA 15 Companion, in order to take their console gaming experience wherever they go, or the FIFA 15 Ultimate Team, which allows users to play the most popular category of the console game on iOS and Android devices.
The Ultimate Team mode of the FIFA franchise allows players to build their own fantasy football team, by trading and collecting their favourite sporting heroes. With more than 10, 000 players from 500 teams to choose from, the choices for your very own football team are virtually limitless. The Ultimate Team mode is based on the console version of this aspect of FIFA 15, allowing players to either challenge their team by playing the match manually or selecting the option of completing a simulation in which the AI plays through the game for you.
While FIFA 15 Ultimate Team is a newbie to the App Stores, it has already earned itself a 4.5 star rating, with close to half a million downloads in the Google Play Store alone. The EA SPORTS™ FIFA 15 Companion has been around for a little longer, released to coincide with the launch date of the console game, and is well on its way to reaching 10, 000, 000 downloads on Android devices.
Both of these new FIFA 15 apps are free to download in the iTunes and Google Play Stores, and if you haven’t yet checked out FIFA 14 you can also pick that up for no out of pocket expense.
