As we’ve seen with many popular console and PC games in more recent times, Ubisoft have released a mobile companion on iOS and Android, to coincide with the launch of Far Cry 4. While we generally see developers creating companion apps that allow players to track their progress on the move, Ubisoft have taken the relationship of mobile and console to a whole new level, incorporating a casino style game that allows players to transfer virtual funds between the mobile version and main game.
Far Cry 4 Arcade Poker puts a fun twist on the traditional poker games seen elsewhere in the app stores, as players race to create the perfect hand with cards falling from the top of their mobile screen. By tapping and dragging specific cards to make the hand you’ve been assigned, users are able to gain big bonuses.
The great thing about this new mobile companion to Far Cry 4 is that it really offers players the chance to get some valuable currency for the main game. While the objective in each level is to create the hand you have been given, if you create something even greater in poker terms, your reward will be even more impressive. For example, if a particular level asks players to create a three of a kind, but they are able to create a four of a kind instead, more chips are earned during that round. More chips equals more virtual currency and once you’ve reached a sufficient haul, you’ll be able to transfer your earnings to the main game by simply pressing a button in the level menu.
Far Cry 4 Arcade Poker is available for both iOS and Android users, so if you’re in desperate need of some virtual cash on your PC or console, this is the game for you!
