Players and enthusiasts who have eagerly been awaiting the much anticipated Game of Thrones Ascent mobile app can get just a little more excited, as Disruptor Beam announced the game will go live at around the same time that fans sit down for Season 4 of the hit television series. Brought to viewers by HBO, Game of Thrones has captured the hearts of fans from all around the world, with the latest app (based on the television series) expected to be a huge success amongst the already enormous fan base. While Game of Thrones Ascent has already been released online, the mobile version of the game is said to be one for the record books, with Disruptor Beam partnering with Kongregate for release onto both iOS and Android devices.
“Since the early stages of the game’s development, our intention was always to release Game of Thrones Ascent on mobile devices,” said Radoff, CEO of Disruptor Beam. There has been some scepticism and hesitation from industry professionals about the partnership between Disruptor Beam and Kongregate, with the latter known mainly for its web publications. Radoff put all doubts to rest in a recent conference, however, stating “Now that we have had great success growing users and revenue across web platforms, we are excited to be bringing the game to mobile players. That’s what we’ve seen first-hand with Kongregate, and why we are excited about partnering with them for our mobile release, continuing to build upon this vast and passionate community of players.” Disruptor Beam aren’t the only ones expanding their wings, with news that Kongregate has recently invested $10 million into a mobile gaming venture.
With the game said to be released on mobile in early Spring, be on the lookout in the GooglePlay and iTunes stores during the end of March or early April for Game of Thrones Ascent.
