We all love a home grown hero like the guys from Halfbrick, who have shown the world what Aussie developers are really capable of. In the past, they’ve brought us smash hits like Jetpack Joyride, Colossatron and, who could forget, the amazing Fruit Ninja! It seems as though the company is not slowing down, with a recent announcement revealing that Halfrbick will expand as a worldwide mobile developer, helping to shine a light on some third-party titles.
The first game in their new venture will be Birzzle Fever, a brand new puzzle game created by the great minds at Enfeel. The game has just been launched on iOS devices and we can expect that while this puzzle game is rather simple, it will also be highly addictive and just a whole bundle of fun (like all of the previous games released onto the App Stores from Halfbrick). In Birzzle Fever, players will proceed throughout the various levels by tapping on groups of the same coloured birds to remove them from the screen. The game will be free to play, which is also great news for all Halfbrick fans out there.
“As one of the most successful mobile game developers in the world, Halfbrick has the resources and knowledge to assist other developers in reaching a world full of players eager to check out the latest and greatest games,” says Halfbrick. “Starting up publishing operations was a natural move to ensure that great content gets the attention it deserves. A special team will be dedicated to working with developers who are interested in having their games published, providing analysis and recommendations during all stages of development.”
We’ve had nothing but good experiences with Halfbrick in the past and it seems as though this venture can only mean more good things to come from the Aussie developer turned publisher.
