We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, it’s always nice to see an app with a positive agenda. While we’ll never stop loving our mobile games, there’s something about an app that’s trying to make the world a better place that just simply makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Honestly is the latest app from Mu Games (available on both iOS and Android) and it focuses on combatting cyberbullying with the power of positivity, by offering users the chance to get honest answers from their friends. The catch? If you’ve downloaded the app, you’re only going to be shown the positive responses to answers given, so there’s no chance for anyone to bring their negativity and nasty comments your way.
Honestly offers up a range of questions to choose from, including “Do I have a nice smile” or “Would you kiss me?”, but users are also given the opportunity to create their own set of questions to ask their friends. The beauty of this latest app is that the answers provided are kept anonymous, allowing your Facebook friends to be completely honest and sincere when facing your questions.
In a recent statement, Honestly VP of Products, Liron Jacobi Marcous, commented on the app’s design and goal, saying, “Anonymous apps in the past have made Facebook friends’ opinions available to the public, at times embarrassing the recipient of the feedback. We wanted to go into another direction; the opinions are meant to be uplifting and supportive, as well as private. No bullying or public shaming – by design.”
The most recent studies surrounding trends of cyberbullying have shown that adults, along with teens and children, are often victims of these cowardly attacks. You’re never too old to get some feel good vibes sent your way, so no matter what your age, head to the app store to check out Honestly and use the internet to spread some kindness today.
