Known for their array of puzzle and strategy games in the App Store, the team at Ezjoy have added a great addition to their already popular collection, bringing Android and iOS users “Juice Splash” in 2014. While we all know I have a slight disposition to enjoy three-match games, I must admit that Ezjoy have really nailed this game from a players perspective. Unlike many of the other three-match puzzle games in the App Stores, there’s no waiting around for your lives to refill and while the levels do become quite challenging as you progress, you can complete them without in-app purchases, if you have the patience.
While players will love this game, from a developer’s point of view, monetisation isn’t really optimized throughout Juice Splash. Sure, they have in-app purchases and have implemented the use of interstitial advertising, but the pop-up ads can become quite annoying and most of the advertisements would not relate to the target audience that would be playing Juice Splash. If you’re advertisements aren’t enticing to the user, that means less conversions and ultimately not the best monetisation strategy.
As you would expect with any Ezjoy game, the graphics for Juice Splash are more than adequate, offering cute little characters, bright colours and clear images. The game play is smooth and I’ve experienced no lag or glitches while progressing throughout the hundreds of levels. Another bonus about the game is that it is completely free to download from the App Store – after all, who doesn’t like something for free these days?
If you’ve already got an Ezjoy favourite I would highly recommend heading to the iTunes App Store or Google Play to add this one to your list.
Three words to sum up this game? Addictive, fun and not-to-be-missed (that’s only three words, right?).
