Recently released in North America is the photo messaging app Preevioo which was developed to offer a sense of control for users when receiving and interacting with their pictures. Users are able to set requirements that determine when the image will be revealed in full, as well as add emoticons, shapes and other objects to the image.
Users are able to import from their camera roll as well as take pictures within the app. Following this, users are able to add text bubbles, shapes, and a variety of emoticons to cover different parts of the image. For example, users could place an object in someone’s hand or cover someone’s face. There is also the capability to draw on the image as well as resize the objects to fit in a certain space.
Conditions can be placed in order to reveal the image after it has been covered. A timer can be set that must finish before people can view the image, or even require that a certain amount of friends must like the photo before it can be seen. Much like Snapchat, you are also able to put a timer on the image for the amount of time it can be viewed for by the recipient(s).
On top of the image feature, users can share text images to other users for up to 180 characters. Preevioo users can then cover words with images like they would with the photos. Comments may also be placed on the images once they have been received.
The CEO and Co-Founder of Preevioo Emmanuel Grinspan said in a recent statement “With the launch of Preevioo, we are taking photo messaging a step further and empowering others to create more stories with each image.”
Preevioo is available for a free download from iTunes App Store.
