After a recent announcement of a new partnership formulating between well-known game publisher Scopley and developer Kung Fu Factory, it is now clear that a long-term partnership will lead to the creation of even more popular mobile games for many years to come.
Kung Fu Factory has made award winning games such as Adventure Time: Card Wars, SpongeBob Moves In and Rooftop Run. They specialise in making the mobile games based on popular brand names. Both Scopely and Kung Fu Factory aim to deliver a number of titles as well as using some of their originals. Scopely has come out and said that they look to work with hand-picked world-class developers and that the partnership fits with this mission.
Tim O’Brien, the chief revenue officer at Scopely said that “The team at Kung Fu Factory has consistently impressed us,”. He said “We are focused on bringing the best development studios in the world into the Scopely network to help them compete and scale in an environment that increasingly favours larger publishers with superior distribution and monetization infrastructure. We are excited to power Kung Fu Factory games to new heights and create outstanding experiences for our players.”
Ranging from card-battling action to fast paced combat the Kung Fu Factory has developed and created three chart topping games. In over 100 countries, each app hit the no1 spot in the app store.
Ricci Rukavina, the CEO and creative director of Kung Fu Factory said that they are very excited to take the games further in the partnership with Scopely. Scopely, being founded in 2011 had raised $35 million in funding in November. Kung Fu Factory has created a total of ten games and was founded in 2002.
