Recently launched is the self-titled app by Mibi for iOS devices. It allows users to generate goal-based or competitive challenges and are then able to share them with the world or friends. The app creates a new way of communication between brands and consumers and Theory and Drizly, Spartan and Orbitz.com have signed on as launch partners.
Based on topics like cooking, entertainment, pets, fitness and more users can browse or join challenges. Users are also able to search various challenges across different categories. Mibi also allows users to connect via Facebook and invite their friends to help complete the challenges.
For example, a simple challenge may be to read a book by a certain month, or may be more challenging such as to take a photo with a celebrity or complete a planking exercise.
Users can generate their own challenges, choosing a competitive or goal-based experience for others and themselves to try and conquer. There are privacy options available to restrict the public from joining and they may make it only available to themselves or friends.
The app allows users to comment and like on each submission, without having to create their own. They can also follow others within the app on their home feed to keep track of their posts.
Andrew Favian, CEO of Mibi said in a recent statement “ Mibi challenges bring inspiration, excitement and accomplishment to your activities. Our beta users call it posting with a purpose. Mibi is all about challenges you should do and the things you wouldn’t even have imagined doing.”
Mibi is available for a free download from the iTunes App Store.
