Recently launched by Instanza is the SOMA Messenger app for mobile devices, offering text messaging for one-on-one conversations, group chats for up to 500 people as well as free HD video and voice calls. The app aims to deliver completely free services (ad free) to its users including both messages and international calls.
The service offers the capability for users to invite friends to use the service as well. Messages are able to be delivered to recipients even if they are not a current user. The message will be sent alongside a link inviting the potential user to download the app.
Users are able to track their usage statistics through their profile and can select from a variety of template status messages.

Each message and calls’ content is encrypted to ensure a high level of privacy and each one is handled by a server in the country nearest to the user.
The creator of SOM messenger, Guo said in recent statement “SOMA Messenger raises the standards of quality and privacy for video, voice and messaging while keeping it ad free and free of charge forever. We believe that the best things in life are free, and communication should be too … We’re still in the very early stages of experiencing what the messenger app market has to offer.”
