In collaboration with Ali Express and Wallmart, Global messaging platform Tango has introduced new shopping functionality with the aim to capitalise on the new global trend for convenient shopping. Tango already has over 300 million users globally, all of which now have instant access to the add-on creating fast fingertip shopping. The new smart feature is developed to follow user trends and preferences, giving users access to millions of products.
One of the best attributes about the app is that users will not even have to leave Tango and can easily share their own item collections with friends and family. The integration with online shopping giants Walmart.com and Aliexpress gives Tango the competitive advantage, allowing users to browse a large variety of products from around the world.
Tango plans to further develop the platform so that additional retails have access to promote and sell products through to its fan base. Let’s face it, with 300 million users and climbing, this is a fantastic opportunity for any retailer to develop a new channel of customers.

Although Tango was not originally made available to the market with the goal of online shopping, its voice will be heard by competitors. Does this mean that shopping apps will start to include social features like messages? Only time will tell.

The app already offers features beyond text messaging such as the capability to follow branded channels so that you can keep track of celebrity news, other trended headlines as well as providing a portal to discover the best and most popular games on and entering the app market.
