Just recently Ijji has announced the release of Gameflip, the video game marketplace application for Android and Ios devices. The app not only allows users to buy and sell video games but all general collectibles and accessories, much like Glyde.
Users can search for specific titles to compare prices and browse listings for handheld devices and major video game consoles. On top of this, there are sections available for video game related clothing, accessory items such as headsets or controllers, collectables and much more.
Like many other marketplaces, the item listings go alongside a condition rating, product image and description and view the seller’s page to see how reputable they are in terms of their score with ratings and past transactions.
It is determined by the seller if there is an associated shipping cost involved with the transaction. Much to Gameflip’s credit, the entire transaction is managed with a buying guarantee should the item not be delivered in the expected condition or in a timely fashion.
That’s not the only benefit to the app, for sellers there is also a guarantee should their game not sell within the 30 days and then receive an in-app credit. The difference between the current Gamestop trade-in price and the seller’s desired price equates to the credit. Additionally, the pricing of the item must not be more than 20% higher than the trade-in value.
When a user signs up a friend they are also awarded with an in app credit of $2 for up to ten friends. On top of this offer, $4 is awarded to users when the first ten of their friends purchase within the app.
Currently the app is available for free download from both Google Play and iTunes App Store.
