Just recently released to the app stores is the new app Sense, launched by Unmetric for iOS and Android devices. The app is intended to allow marketers to monitor competition.
Via live stream campaign images, hashtags and videos, users are able to keep track of what their competition is doing. Currently the service is available to existing clients, however, the company has a vision to roll out on a broader scale.
The CEO of Unmetric, Lux Narayan said in a recent statement “ Customers and competitors are the two things every marketer constantly thinks about. We created Sense to fill this unmet need and to be the easiest way for any marketer – from digital strategists to CMOs – to stay abreast of competition anytime, anywhere.”
The company has a database of a staggering 35000 brands and more than 25 verticals that users can follow. With Youtube being added in the coming months, at current the app retrieves videos and images from Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Users are able to bookmark specific pieces of content as well as tap individual posts for engagement and full text metrics.
A big fan of the app is Yuri Pereira, the global social media strategist for The Coca-Cola Company. He said recently that “Unmetric Sense is the perfect app to quickly visualize competitors’ content and campaigns. It’s essentially a newsfeed with Unmetric’s competitive intelligence capabilities.”
The app is available for download from Apple’s iTunes Store and Google Play.
